WHAT IS INFANT CRANIOSACRAL?
Infant Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive bodywork technique that supports overall wholistic health of the newborn. I assess subtle layers of the fascia, membranes and cerebrospinal fluid surrounding and protecting the brain and spinal cord. During sessions I feel for and release restrictions in the craniosacral system. The idea is that even small imbalances in an infant’s body, especially after the physical pressures of birth, can lead to discomfort or physical challenges.

-
Difficult latch or breastfeeding challenges
-
Tongue-tie or feeding issues (often related to jaw or cranial tension)
-
Birth trauma (especially from long labors, C-sections, forceps, or vacuum deliveries)
-
Torticollis (head tilt or restricted neck movement)
-
Poor sleep
-
Colic, reflux, gas and digestion discomfort
HOW CAN INFANT CRANIOSACRAL HELP MY BABY?
WHAT HAPPENS IN A TYPICAL INFANT CRANIOSACRAL SESSION?
You’ll be present with your baby the entire time, often holding them or staying close. The baby may lie clothed on a treatment table or be held in my arms. Sessions are gentle and calming some babies sleep, others fuss before relaxing into the session.
